The South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa is a hotel located in Enterprise, Nevada near the city of Las Vegas. It was originally built in 2005 as an off-strip resort, offering amenities not typically found at other casinos on the strip. The property features a large casino with over 80 table games, a sports book, poker room, and over 2,100 slots.
History
The South Point Hotel & Casino opened its doors to the public on October 15th of 2005. https://casinosouthpoint.ca/ It was built by Michael Gaughan, owner and operator of several Las Vegas properties including Jokers Wild Casino, as well as his father Don Gaughan’s former property, Jackie Gaughan-owned El Cortez.
Design and Amenities
The South Point Hotel & Casino is housed in a 16-story building that includes a large casino floor with numerous table games. The hotel also features multiple restaurants and bars on site including the Coronado Café for breakfast, Don Vito’s Italian Kitchen, Baja Miguel’s Mexican restaurant, Shiki Japanese Restaurant, and Silverado Steakhouse.
The South Point Showroom is home to various entertainment options such as concerts, comedy acts, boxing events and other live performances. The venue offers seating for up to 1,800 people. In addition to this space the hotel also has a large bingo hall where players can play electronic or traditional paper bingo games.
